Calling All Fashion Lovers!

The September issue of Essence looks great this month. Normally, I write regular blog posts about interesting articles. But I’ve had a long week at work, with more stimulating days ahead, so I recorded  a Flipping Through Essence podcast about it instead. In it, I discuss:

• Tracy Ellis Ross’ style

• the feature built around Ralph Richard Banks “Is Marriage for White People?” I blogged about it on June 22.

• a two-page spread on Misty Copeland, the first Black female soloist with the American Ballet Theater. She’s not just a pretty face. Her talent and dedication propelled her to fame, as she explained in a very informative interview with Tavis Smiley, here.
